Firefly Sportfishing Payment & Cancellation Policies

Dear Client,

We’re thrilled you’re interested in fishing with us. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how to book, pay, cancel or reschedule your trip.

Reservation & Deposit Requirements

  • Bookings >30 days out: 50% deposit due at time of booking. Reservations aren’t confirmed until we’ve received your deposit.
  • Bookings ≤30 days out: Full (100%) payment due to confirm.
  • All trips must be paid in full 30 days before your first fishing day.
  • Cancellations within one month of your trip are non-refundable—but you may reschedule.

Important Notes

  • Availability remains tentative until we receive payment and confirm your reservation.
  • Final balance is due no later than 30 days before your first day of fishing.

Payment Methods

  • We accept U.S. dollars via wire transfer or credit card.
  • Once your deposit is received, you’ll get written confirmation of your booking.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Same-Day Cancellations

Full refund if you cancel on the same day you book.

Within 1 Month of Trip

No refund—but you may reschedule.

45+ Days Before Trip

  • 50% refund of final cost
  • Or reschedule with a 2.5% fee

44–11 Days Before Trip

  • Rescheduling only (2.5% fee)
  • Cancellations not permitted

≤10 Days Before Trip

No cancellations or reschedules, except for severe weather or “acts of God.”

Note: Any change (including reschedules) incurs a 2.5% administrative fee.

Boat Availability & Substitution Policy

On rare occasions a vessel may suffer a mechanical issue. In that case we will either:

  • Provide a replacement vessel of equal quality, or
  • Prorate the trip based on time fished and refund the difference.

If no replacement is available and no other solution can be arranged, a full refund will be issued.

Cancellations Due to Health or Personal Emergencies

With documented death or severe medical issues preventing travel, cases are reviewed individually. If approved, you may receive a partial refund or credit (less administrative fees).

Changes Due to Atmospheric Conditions

Your safety is our priority. If weather makes fishing unsafe, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule and will issue a full refund if rescheduling isn’t possible.

Tournament Policy

During tournaments departure/arrival may be at a different marina. Clients are responsible for arranging lodging and ground transport in that case.

Additional Information

  • Fishing licenses, Wi-Fi & gratuities are not included in quoted rates.
  • Captain & mate tips (15–20% recommended) can be split onboard.
  • Appropriate boat shoes required (no hard black-soled shoes).
  • We provide:
    • Professional, tournament-winning 3-man crews
    • All tournament tackle & bait
    • Full-day trips with lunch, beverages, fresh fruit & snacks
